DIY Yogurt Mask

Sometimes we feel bored with any kind of masks at beauty counters and most of them cost you more than RM 5. The higher is it, the better we "feel" they would give result with.
But then recently, I found Lush products from USA and after done research, watch videos and so on I feel like natural mask is better than ready stocks masks that we spent on. Mostly,the masks that I bought must be whitening masks because I feel my face is slightly darker than before and my face color tone is not even. In my opinion, ready stock mask must have chemical and additional recipe to preserve the mask for a long period. If 100% natural products, it is impossible to preserve natural beauty products in a week. Its gonna expired and smell yucks!

PLUS, all these cost you a looot of money!
banyak woo, satu mask RM 5.90  times with 6? The money we can buy a piece of top ok?
That's the reason why I change to a new habit to>> DIY mask.
 So, for my first DIY mask is from Yogurt. Natural yogurt.
You need to purchase any brand of natural yogurt as long it is the plain one. no flavour yogurt please.

My personal Opinion:

I really like it especially when I apply it on face, I feel good and it gives cooling effect on my face. After I wash it away, it leaves me moisture skin, fresh and my face feels tight.

Fights Blemishes

Yogurt is a natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. Mixed with lime juice--about 1 tbsp. per cup of yogurt--a yogurt face mask left on for 30 minutes can help clear up acne and tone the skin.

Soothe Sunburn

According to an article at the Cosmetic Surgery Directory, a yogurt face mask can soothe the redness and the pain associated with sunburn. For dry, sunburned skin, apply a mixture of 1 tbsp. of yogurt and 2 tsp. of honey to the face. Leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing off. The zinc in the yogurt will cool the burn and smooth the skin while yogurt's natural moisturizing properties will lock in the skin's natural hydration.

Tighten Pores

An oatmeal-yogurt face mask can help tighten pores. Mix 2 tbsp. of powdered oats with 2 tbsp. of plain, organic yogurt and refrigerate for several hours until the oatmeal absorbs some of the yogurt. Apply to clean skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Warning

Some people are allergic to yogurt. Burning or itching after applying a yogurt face mask indicates an allergic reaction to yogurt. Rinse the mask off immediately and don't use again. Seek medical attention if the itching continues.

I just used up an original plain yogurt and straightly apply on face.
You may apply 2 to 3 times a week (Make sure the yogurt has not expired)

Half cup of yogurt can be used up to 2 to 3 times masks. So, you can eat the yogurt before apply it on to face.Yum Yum. sedap nye!!!

Yogurt Price: RM 1.40 - RM 1.80/cup (I bought at RM 1.70, Nestle yogurt)
Tool to apply: mask brush or the given plastic spoon that attached together with the cup. Even your fingers
How to apply the mask? : Wash your face throughly with warm water and a mild cleanser. Pat dry, and apply  plain yogurt with your fingers/spoon/ brush/ any way that you're comfortable with, covering all areas of your face and upper neck. Leave the face mask on for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently wash it away with warm water. 

When I read on few articles, they said yogurt can make your face looks glowing. Wah!! Best nye. I guess I would stock up more yogurt in my fridge! haha.
