Benefit POREfessional Review

Many of you were asking me , how to get a flawless skin? What kind of method , foundation brand or product that I used to get a smooth and flawless skin? How to cover the pores especially at the nose area? How to smooth out the skin without using heavy thick foundation?

Well, I am not saying that I am a professional doctor or makeup artist anyhow I am a consumer. I have trying out a lot of products in the market and this is one of the best products I've tried. So, there's no wrong to share the secret with you. Bear in your mind that this is not a sponsored post, therefore I would have my own words and opinions into the product mentioned.
I know there's a lot of techniques including Photoshop, 360 phone application and specialist skin care products that could help to shrink and minimize the pores, however, in this post I would introduce you one of the techniques and products that would help you to cover the appearance of the big pores. The answer is... 

POREfessional from BENEFIT. 

Where to get this product?
Frequent question: Why I never heard of it before? Well, this is one of high end makeup brands that is only available at SEPHORA, BENEFIT counters (pink theme counters at selected malls) and some are in PARKSON. You may find the store list here.

My Advise: 
Better go to the counter and try it yourself! Wear it in a day and experience the difference!

Benefit Porefessional claims;

“Quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.”

The function of POREfessional

This product can be used as a face primer , underneath foundation to hold and make your makeup last longer and stay all day long or to smooth-en out the appearance of pores and lines. Another bright side of it is, it makes the foundation blends easier and silkier. To be honest this product is great for oily and combination skin. This is because most of oily and combination skin face typed would have bigger pores appearance problem compared to dry skin. Moreover, I realized that it helps to matt-ify and smooth out the skin .  So, my advise is to get a well pampered moisturized skin before using this product to avoid flake-y skin.

Application

There's two way-application to use this product as pre-makeup (before) and touch up (after).

1)  Pre-makeup , Pat and blend it gently using your fingers before applying foundation, and it would acts as a primer. You may use it on all over your face or only focusing on T-zone area.

2) Touch up,  After you have done with the makeup, you may apply this primer on top of foundation and pat it on the area that you want to cover it up. It's kinda like "photoshop" method in real life. You may use this primer as  "touch up" at the middle of the day as it would helps you to matt-ify the skin. 

The texture 

It is a translucent balm product with a tinted brown color to it. It has silicone texture to it and makes the application glides smoothly and easier. There's no color for the balm and suits with all complexion.

Packaging

It comes in a tube with a small nozzle which is a good thing about it, no waste and over-squeezed product.
You would get the right amount needed for one time makeup application.

Benefit Cosmetics Malaysia X The Butterfly Project Blogger Event (Part 2)

In this post, I am going to focus on the event held on last Sunday, collaboration between Benefit Malaysia and The Butterfly Project Malaysia. To those who doesn't know what is "The Butterfly Project" , it is a  community of independent beauty and lifestyle bloggers geared towards inspiring everyone around us.

Information on event

Event name: Beauty BASH!

Venue: Benefit Starhill

Date: 8th December 2013

Time: 11am- 1 pm

Theme: Pink

Do you know that BENEFIT has a store or special counter at Sephora Starhill? YES! It is located upstairs, level 2 in Sephora Starhill. Basically you just enter Sephora then look for the elevator and press level 2. Then you will find Benefit concept store over there, it's located opposite the lift.  Its so pretty and cozy, you will feel more comfortable to try all Benefit products over here. Most of the items are new and if you want to try They're Real Mascara or any kind of liquid products, better come to this place than normal small counter in Sephora because over here, less people tend to try the products and the products are testable. Furthermore, we can get more attention from the sales assistance. Do not worry, they're friendly, just ask for their advise. There's also brow bar and if you want to get brow shaping. 

We were given opportunity to wear all the products on that day. So basically, we came over the event with bare face and went home with pretty makeup look. Hahaha. I know, it's funny! Went off home like a ghost and turned up like a doll. hahaha. That's what my mom said. 

Okay, later you will see my pale face before applying makeup. 

Event 's activities of the day were makeover demo and contest. We were given a demo how to do 5 minutes makeup using Benefit products and model of the day was Sabby Prue. Woot woot! Say hi to the celebrity! 

After the demo, we were assigned to do our own makeover by using 100%  Benefit products provided in the store. After the makeover, we need to post it up on instagram and tag Benefit cosmetics Malaysia. Through that, the organiser could trace the pictures and select the winner. 

 Guess what?! Once people heard there's winner in this activity, everyone went crazy. Who doesn't want to win Benefit products? Haha and panic button moment ON! 

Time given to makeover , only 30 minutes. 

All bloggers went panic and tried to do their best! Makeup skills revealed! Fuhh~ They all are very talented and creative, it was very competitive!

Honestly, I did not wear any makeup on that morning because in the itinerary stated there will be makeover session, so I didn't put anything on! Like seriously! NO foundation only my clear aqua sunblock. That's it! So, please excuse my ghost face!

I tried most of the items that I do not have at home so, everything were new to me. I read all the items before applying because afraid of mistakes. hahah. Try to imagine if the thing is for face primer (colorless) but I put it as concealer, what theeeee... It won't conceal any part on my face forever even if I apply it for hours! hahah. Hurgh!!! haha.  Lesson of the day: Read before apply the product on face.

November 2013 Beauty Favourites!

Hello! Time to rock our Saturday with few of my beauty favourite products!

Eyes part

My current makeup style is more into bare simple makeup. It looks like no makeup on but there's makeup. haha. Get what I mean? So lets see the products for the eyes. 

1) MAC Groundwork paint pot is one of my favourite eye primer or on to go eyeshadow. Just use finger to swipe the color on lids and ya, its ready to go. This color is almost similar to "Painterly" which is bare skin color. 

2) Next, I normally set the groundwork cream shadow with Naked color from Naked palette (Num 1). The color naked is really bare and nearly similar to the skin. So, that is why I liked to use this color, simple and keep it natural. 

3) My favourite highlighter or also known as my favourite versatile eyeshadow is this,  Stila Kitten. I did a full review post on it.  The color is pretty natural on lids and wearable either for daily makeup or simple night makeup look. 

I have this mascara for quite a long time but never open it because I normally will use one mascara at one time. I just finished my Maybelline Rocket mascara (it's already dry) and due to that reason, I just opened my Mac Archie mascara collection. Feel guilty using it but what can I do, I still need to use it someday. haha.

 

Blusher is a must makeup product in my makeup routine . In this month I have been using this Nars blusher in Taos a lot. The color makes my face blush naturally and suit to my skin tone. 

If you are asking me for the best blush brush, my answer going to be " GO FOR SIGMA F40! It is freakin soft and worth every ringgit. No regret at all. Where to buy it? my favourite shopping online site is : "luxola.com" . I bought all of my Sigma brushes over there especially when they've promotion. I'm collecting Sigma brushes slowly one by one. And now my Sigma brush collection is growing bigger. Alhamdullilah. Sikit sikit, lama lama jadi bukit. 

Lip colors of the month are cha cha tint from Benefit and Revlon Super lustrous lipgloss in Pink Pop. Woot Woot! Korean lips style, dap the lip tint onto lips, spread it evenly, then finish  it with lipgloss. Beautiful sexy lips!Mwaaahhhhh!  Pop up your natural beauty with lip tint! 

Fuh, lip tint is the best savior for people who looking for natural lip color but doesn't want to look too heavy with lipstick. This is the solution, get a lip tint! 

Last but not least, a skin care. It is a local brand serum mist, Essenseri. 

I love the idea of spraying since I don't really like to open a cap and then pour it, apply all over the face and you know, It consumes time and attention. Therefore, the idea of spraying is much easier. After bath, just wipe out your face and spray it into the face. Easy! Seriously, to those who know me well, you guys know, I'm a lazy bum. Just wanna share my simple daily skin care routine : remove makeup by using makeup remover, cleanse the face, spray some toner, serum and that's it! Moisturiser , I use it seldomly, I have no idea why I always skip moisturiser & night cream. I know, it's not good, but if my skin peel off, I will apply moisturiser, a lot! Seriously! hahaha (cuak muka kedut kering).
